Think as you GFR as the percentage that you kidneys function. So 100% means they are functioning 100%. 60 or below means you have Kidney Disease. 15 or below means Kidney Failure and you are ready for some type of dialysis or Kidney Transplant. This test measures the level of serum creatinine in the blood and uses the result in a formula to calculate a number that reflects how well the kidneys are functioning.
